BDA Bags Prestigious National
Award for Hebbal Flyover
The superstructure of Hebbal Flyover of BDA has bagged
the first Award in the 9th outstanding Bridge National Awards
Competition instituted by Indian Institution of Bridge Engineers.
The Hebbal Flyover the biggest flyover in South Asia, was
executed by M/s. Gammon India Limited. This unique Interchange
has four loops having two carriage ways with total six lanes
allowing traffic entering in to the city and that moving out
of the city with greater ease. The total cost of this Mega
project is Rs. 42.98 crores.
Among many entries in this Category BDA stands first and
is conferred with the prestigious award for the team work of
owner/contractor/designer consultant in carrying out the total
project of Hebbal Flyover. M/S. RITES (A Government of India
Enterprise) has designed the flyover.
The veritable infrastructure initiatives taken up
by BDA under its Eco-commitment projects such as:
• Restoration
of Lake Agaram.
• Restoration
of Benniganahalli Lake.
• Restoration
of Lalbagh Lake with complete rejuvenation of Lalbagh ambience.
Garden Environs, installation of a 1.5 mld capacity fully automated
water reclamation plant that provides irrigation system (Central
Control System, Spinklers, Piping Network, Power saving features
etc) for the entire garden.
On going works of restoring Cubbon Park and its 300 acres
environs including installing 1.5 mld treatment plant with computerised
irrigation network, formation of path ways, illumination, restoration
of water bodies and repairs to sewerage lines.
