Benniganahalli Lake and Agara Lake
Extremely
conscious of the growing pollution levels in the city and the deterioration
of natural resources, BDA has taken the responsibility of rejuvinating
2 lakes that had almost dried up. The Agara and Benniganahalli lakes located
along the Outer Ring Road have been completely desilted and converted
into attractive water bodies. Once cess pools , they are now the retreat
place for natural lovers. The water birds have promptly returned to their
favourite haunts. The walkways, lagoons and islands created within the
lakes also bear a robust testimony of a re-energised ecosystem of flora
and fauna. |
