Apart from developing layouts, distribution of sites and infrastructure development, BDA has also taken the initiative of redefining Bangalore's major landmarks. The historical Lalbagh today wears a new look. The Authority has re-gifted the famous Lalbagh Glass House to the city. The century-old glass house has been completely renovated while retaining its primitive glory.

Similarly, the Band stand has been recreated, retaining its old charm. The dying lake in Lalbagh has been rejuvinated by dredging, desilting and infusion of fresh water from the-state-of-art Sewage Water Treatment Plant erected for this purpose. Computerised irrigation system works round the clock to water the parched garden.
